  • If you cancel within 48 hours of booking and your check-in date is more than 5 days away, we will provide a refund or credit at our discretion, minus any payment processing fees.
  • Cancellations made after 48 hours of booking, or within 5 days of your check-in date, are non-refundable.

Guest cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@paradiseretreat.com.au

In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel your booking (such as for emergency situations or property issues). If this occurs, we’ll work with you on a refund or credit option. For complete details, please refer to our full Terms and Conditions.

Local Area

The closest major supermarkets (Woolworths) are in Narooma or Moruya, about 20 minutes in either direction. For basic supplies, there’s a service station in Bodalla, just 10 minutes away. We recommend purchasing groceries on your way to the retreat so you can start relaxing immediately!

You’re spoiled for choice! Two stunning beaches are less than 100 meters from your door:

  • Potato Point Beach (to the north) – generally more sheltered and calm, perfect for peaceful walks
  • Jemisons Beach (to the south) – equally beautiful for beach days and sunset strolls

Both are ideal for relaxing walks and soaking up the coastal atmosphere. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Beyond the beautiful beaches, the area offers coastal walks, wildlife spotting, fishing, and exploring the charming nearby coastal towns of Bodalla, Moruya, Narooma, and Tilba with their cafes, restaurants, and local shops.

Refer to our Activities page for further details.

Safety

The ocean here is stunning but requires caution. The beaches are not patrolled by lifeguards, and swimming is at your own serious risk. If you choose to swim:

  • Never swim alone, at night, or without someone watching from the beach
  • Only enter water where you can comfortably stand (waist-high maximum)
  • Be aware of currents and changing conditions
  • Always supervise children closely

Australia’s wildlife is incredible but must be respected from a safe distance. You may encounter kangaroos, emus, wallabies, and various birds. Please:

  • Never approach or feed wildlife – they can become aggressive if they feel threatened
  • Keep a safe distance at all times
  • Be particularly cautious of snakes, which may be venomous
  • If you’re injured by an animal, call Emergency Services (000) immediately

Observe and photograph from afar, and these beautiful creatures will add magic to your stay!

Your safety is our priority:

  • Detailed emergency procedures are posted on the wall next to the front door and in the Welcome Book inside the retreat.
  • First aid kit is located under the kitchen sink.
  • Call Emergency Services: 000.
